Edmonson Youth Outreach Learning Center | Home

The Edmonson Youth Outreach Learning Center is a youth oriented program started in 2009 aimed at building self-esteem while teaching the dangers of drug abuse and the rewards of academic excellence. Juvenile delinquency is a well-documented problem, particularly in low-income metropolitan areas. Omaha is no exception. The Edmonson Youth Outreach Learning Center is not a short-term program but has long term relationships. EYOLC is a community based, nonprofit  safe haven located in the heart of north Omaha.  EYOLC target population is comprised of youths, age’s 5 to 15, primarily from the neighborhoods surrounding EYOLC.   EYOLC successfully "competes with the street" and its negative influences by offering positive alternatives to inner-city youths by building strong character, self-esteem, and social values.  Throughout the year, EYOLC’S on-site radio and television programs, athletic activities and events, computer laboratory, academic tutoring, reading program, and drug awareness programs will reach over 300 low-income youths from high-crime, low-income neighborhoods on Omaha’s north side.    EYOLC’S motto is STILL "No Magic. Just Hard Work!"
